Some of the happiest people you will ever meet are the ones you run across who have developed a servant’s heart. They are not any less busy than anyone else, but they have found they key to happiness-that it is better to give than to receive!
We are extremely blessed at THE BRIDGE MILLENNIA because 80% of our Partners are actively involved in serving the body of Christ in some role or capacity.
We are not producing spectators but disciples! People that want to go unnoticed usually wind up finding a more seeker friendly environment. If you stay around our body long enough, you simply can’t remain uninvolved because you will be equipped, encouraged, and motivated to GET INVOLVED!
Jesus settles the issue about serving for those who are unsure or have a fear of committing due to not wanting not to get into a “works mentality”, but being “free for God”:
“..just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” Matt 20:28 The word also declares in Hebrews 6:10-12
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
This dynamic does not just happen, it is intentional!
Most of the servant leaders that you see in our church body today are there because they because at some point in time, they first became outwardly focused. They first saw or heard a need and then decided to do something about it and made the choice to connect and commit.
This kind of person thrives because they have shifted from being a receiver only, to a giver. They have chose to look past their personal needs to the needs and betterment of others thus becoming a person in whom God can pour His blessing on and into spilling over into other lives!
We believe that serving is an act of worship!
